cerebellum
endorphin flooded mind
bubbling up behind my eyes
vivid blues, greens, and pinks
every nerve set on edge
solid and pounding through my veins
lava pressed to the surface
lighting it on fire
heating the soft trails
his fingers left on my skin
...what ifs
what if the sky went pink
and the birds stopped chirping
if the world stopped turning
what if i took your hand
and pulled you closer
if i held you like that forever
what if i kissed you then?
just before the sun slept
before the crickets sang
before important things
started happening?
what if we had just that moment
that one second
of just
us?
