  • IMAGINARY FRIENDS...

He greets me every morning, the boy you cannot see

I often hear him talking as he walks with me,

My parents seem bewildered by my special friend,

As do all the neighbourhood, who cannot comprehend.

    ...

At night he sleeps beside me, in my single bed,

Each morning I can sense him, messing with my head,

Implanting his opinions, deep within my mind,

Leaving all reality, trailing far behind.

    ...

People who have witnessed me, talking to my mate,

Suggest I see a specialist, before it is too late,

They claim I am delusional, rife with mental health,

Stating it's not natural, when talking to oneself.

    ...

Still I hear his messages, every single day,

My friend who is so special, and will not go away,

They say I'm schizophrenic, which seems a little odd,

Especially as these people, claim to hear the voice of god...

    .....
