    Within the confines of the mind,

    Memories which are left behind,

    Remind us of the way we were,

    Not knowing what was to occur.

    .....

    Forever wishing time to pass,

    Searching for the greener grass,

    Holding onto distant dreams,

    But fools gold is not as it seems.

    ....

    Trudging down a lonesome path,

    Not content with all you have,

    Envy building up inside,

    As you lose your sense of pride.

    ...

    Faced by what was to occur,

    Changed us from the way we were,

    Memories are still left behind,

    Within the confines of the mind....
