White Butterflies

Dad why did you leave,
without telling people,
you were so ill
You painted a picture,
that everything,
was fine, and still
Although deep inside,
it was known,
you were that ill
Not a chance to say goodbye,
white butterflies never lie.
Protecting your daughter,
was why
Open, and honest,
is always best,
then the moments would,
not have been less,
we could of made,
it the best
