endure their shallow looks and their misguided pride
be nothing less than everything they choose to hide
express what's inside you, express all the pain
but never make the mistake of feeling you owe anything

a monster in their eyes
dead in yours
stop fighting their lies
why give any more

you have nothing to hide
you have nothing left stored
please come to realize
you've been through this war

tend to your insides
get up off the floor
another battle survived
but barely, therefore

going forward, remember and appreciate
the hard work you've done
and realize that sometimes the battles not fought
are the battles won
now cultivate your light
and radiate like the sun
