We wake up every morning to hear the end is nigh,

As I view the daily papers, I cannot help but cry,

Greed appears most prevalent in every major nation,

So tell me why are children, dying of starvation?

Unprecedented earthquakes generate a plan,

Nations stand in unity to help out where they can,

Aid arrives in hours after speedy preparation,

So tell me why are children, dying of starvation?

Conjuring deceptions, we’ve heard it all before,

The lies of politicians, to justify their war,

Money is no object in a hostile situation,

So tell me why are children, dying of starvation?

The cost of human life appears with little care,

People overstock their shelves, whilst others beg a share,

Food which goes to waste each day, could feed the population,

So tell me why are children, dying of starvation?

We plough the fields. and scatter, good seed on the land,

Which is fed and watered, by those who understand,

The greedy take it all, with little condemnation,

So tell me why are children, dying of starvation?

We witness sickening images of those too young to die,

Amidst the crops that failed, through land which is too dry,

It is broadcast on the news reports of every TV station,

Images of children who are dying of starvation

..........

Merchants of destruction, pompous heads of state,

As you sit and delegate, upon a countries fate,

All which I request, is a simple explanation,

To why so many children, are dying of starvation.

The modern world is run by masters of corruption,

Their only one intention is causing mass disruption,

Ignoring all the news reports of widespread devastation,

That is why young children are dying of starvation.....
