Light shines brightest in the dark
Warm is hottest in the cold
They cannot exist without the other
But us...
We are bound to this earth by worldly tethers, but we can leave
But we stay, even though we have a choice
To enter the void
To have true freedom
However, there is a reason not to
To stay together
With loved ones
With friends
To stick together until the end
We are,

For whom dies
They rise
Into the skies
Filled with lies
The end sha'n't be neigh
Or shall it?
When the candles are lit
Will it fit?
Just sit
Let's eat
It's all a distraction

Shine
Like a flower, ever so bright
Or the moon each night
A bird's spirit as they reach new heights
A hero's grin, so full of might
Like a happy child, playing with a kite
Or like the wonderful sun, giving off so much light
A sip of hot cocoa, what a delight!
And even things beyond sight!

Uplift

When flowers blossom and leaves fall
And you hear a beautiful bird call
Emotions start to rise
Like a hot summer breeze
Rushing up with ease
Through the clouds
Around the sun
And back down again
Into my heart, and the next
U-P-L-I-F-T
