    Silence

    Perceived silence,
    occupies thoughts of the mind
    Silence answers the questions posed

    CHRISTMAS SURPRISE..

Christmas day morning and Santa had been,

As children awoke to a glorious scene,

Admiring the presents under the tree,

Wondering what they could possibly be.

    ......

A dolly for Sandie, whilst Tim got a game,

Mum got a painting, complete with a frame,

Dad received trainers, in which he could jog,

But the best gift of all, was that of a dog.

    ......

Sandie and Timmy were full of surprise,

At the sight of a pup with love in his eyes,

He gave both children a lick on the face,

Then set about exploring the place.

    Life is a mirror

In shadows of light, there lived a lane
They say every lane tells its own
    story, so does the stone.

I picked a single bloom from a flower store,
a gift for a Srilakan woman, we call her Rosalin.

    Two men who have never
spoken to each other begin a conversation in hospital bed
Even when the foggy mind battles the wind,
being in the same space can get you new friends.

I remember how you like to surprise me , each time with a new aromatic dish.
How once the door was closed but now it's open. To everything.
I stare at my dry hands, red from over-washing
and wonder how I have become what I am today.

Why the long arc of history keeps bending in the wrong direction
You take a hard look at the mirror,
Clouds drag long black wavy silences
We are Brahmins, Hindu upper caste, God will save us from Covid, you told me one day.<...

    Paganism

    Paganism the basis,
    of religion that be
    Start of all,
    today to see,
    worshiping,
    beautiful seasons,
    nature for all,
    the right reasons,
    natural cycles,
    one by one,
    carry great meanings,
    for some
    Humans, and nature,
    at one

    Listening

    Hearing a sense,
that is there from the start,
last sense to leave, when we part,
    hearing, and listening,
    humans sometimes cannot,
    separate the two parts,
    when we are listening,
    we open our heart,
    not just hearing each part

    Victorian Kitchen

    Victorian,

    before kitchens be

    Fireplaces, and wood stoves,

    formed kitchens for many

Late 1800's stoves not so costly,

    running water, and electricity,

    a room within the house

    that be,

    free standing, movable cabinets,

    to cook tea

    hooks on walls,

    pots, and pans  hang free,

    firewood warming,

    food, and family

    National Trust

    National Trust,

    preserving our heritage,

    You must,

    significant items,

    must be in trust

    Conserving natural beauty

    Is a must

    So everyone can feel,

    the stately thrust,

    while taking in

    the beauty of the grounds

    Is a must,

    nature is there for all,

    to enjoy in trust
