    If Jesus was black

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    In what I believe in

Not what they want me to believe in

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    On the street to Golgotha

Where I shall find peace on His alter

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    on the verge of disillusionments

    What comes next?

When all is heard and understood

    What speaks next?

When all is read and scripted

    What bounds us next?

After the vow of our life is sealed

    What lifts us next?

    After our hope is realised

    What teaches us next?

When all experience fails time after time

    What comes next after all?

    When our zealousness is tested

    What follows us next?

    When evil rampages the community

    What good comes next?

When a world lost is forever forgotten

    What minds us next?

When life is disrupted amongst ourselves

    What comes next...
