  • If Jesus was black

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    In what I believe in

Not what they want me to believe in

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    On the street to Golgotha

Where I shall find peace on His alter

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    on the verge of disillusionments

That always ends up in torments

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    With my brothers around

Looking to hear from the gun sound

    If Jesus was black

    Let me die black

    Not as white as snow

For it is not the seed they sow

    If Jesus was black

    Let us all die black

    Till we meet again

Where pain shall not rule to forever gain

    If Jesus was black

    Let us all die black

    And forever be remembered

For living a life of sadness

    If Jesus was black

    I would stand black

And shine my melanin so white

Till I hear my name at last, there

    If Jesus was black

    Let me still be black

    But if He was white

Let the world judge the dead for their demise
