OH PLAY THAT HOLY ORGAN
Oh play that organ louder
While all the oldies sing
They're looking to the
future -
The freedom it will bring.
Oh play that organ slowly,
Hear the ghosts of long
ago
Their shuffling feet on
flagstones,
Their pain; the tears that
flow.
Oh play that organ boldly,
And play it bolder still
For all who feel such
suffering
In this bitter winter chill.
Oh play the organ sweetly,
For the healers in our
midst
For all who keep on
fighting
And take the greatest risks.
Oh play that organ slowly,
Remember all who've died,
And those who'll live with
grieving,
While every nation cried.
