     I hate the fourth of July

    Don't get me wrong

    I love what it stands for

    I hate the fireworks

    I hate the bonfires

     

    When you have

    Seen whole cities Burnt to the ground

    Completely wiped out

     

    When you have

    Seen your friends and comrads

    Shot downs

    Killed

    Destroyed

     

    When you have

    Crawled through trenchs

    With gunfire and bombs

    going off overhead

     

    When you have seen

    Your fellow soilders

    Cut in half by mechine guns

    Or

    Blown to peices by land mines

     

    It does something to you

    It messes with your emotions
