A BRIGHTER TOMORROW
The poor get poorer
that's a fact
The rich get richer
they never use any
tact.
The homeless are
begging - but some
are only fake
They sit outside the
shops - and are
always on the take.
The Government has
tried to help us
But some people do
cause a lot of fuss.
They stay at home
working hard on the
phone -
As the slowly turn
into a clone!
Life will never be
the same again - but
to carry on we do
Covid-19 has changed
our lives - that is very
true.
When we wear the
masks - it hides a
sinister look
Then we walk in to a
shop or a bank - and
looking like a crook!
Is there light at the
end of this dismal
tunnel? I ask,
Or is this Covid with
us as we fight this
invisible task?
We have lost the
will to smile - it has
to be seen,
All courtesy of a
pandemic - and
Covid-19!
I try to live my life
normal - I don't use
any excuses.
But I wish the bus
company would
reinstate the regular
10 minute buses!
Maybe covid is
laughing at us all -
as this is the new
future of causing
more sorrow,
I wish I could say;
hang in there - there's
always a brighter
tomorrow!
